Loop what?

Trimmm trimmm, trimmm trimm...

Support: "This is yxz technical support center, how can I help you?"

Eu: "Well, I've just opened a trouble ticket numer 123123, my mail system is down(!!!). Can you connect to my yxz appliance and troubleshoot this issue?"

Support: "Sure, I'll connect to your box and I'll see what's going on, just a moment."

...few seconds later... Support: "Do you have any firewall before the appliance?"

Eu: "No."

Support: "Do you have any other appliance before the yxz box?"

Eu: "No".

Suppot: "Hummm.. I see here... "

Eu: "If you go to the message log, you can check out that there are a lot of messages like 'connect to 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]: read timeout' and we believe here that this is a problem with the internal mail filters communication."

Support: "Just a momment, please.."

Eu: "Ok, take your time."(...)

Support: "Hum.. Let me see... Can you tell me which server is the 127.0.0.1?"

Eu: "Ah?!"

Support: "Yes, Which server has the 127.0.0.1 IP address? Is this another server, yeah?"

Eu: "Well, 127.0.0.1 is the yxz appliance loopback address."

Support: "Loop what?"

Eu: "The local loopback address for the yxz appliance is 127.0.0.1, ok?"

Support: "humm.. ahh... ok, hold down a second..."
